Trump signs executive order, officially ending Capitalism
In Washington DC today president Donald J Trump added his signature to an executive order officially announcing the end of Capitalism in the US. "It had a good run", Mr Trump remarked cheerfully as he set pen to paper, "and as a nation we gave it our best shot, but it's now clear that Capitalism can no longer deliver the jobs our people so urgently need".In a formal gathering of state officials representing a rare consensus of opinion across partisan divides, the president delivered a speech announcing the transition plan for his administration.
"I've called you here today to announce what my administration intends to do and to set out a plan for transition to a new economic system fit for our times. Before this decade is out all US companies will transition to becoming worker owned cooperatives and all assets or shares will be distributed among the new owners. Wall street and The Fed will be liquidated and any assets they possessed by them will be used to help smooth over the transition period. Just as the Soviet Union eventually came to an end after a long period of stagnation so too must we recognize that one chapter of history is over and another is about to begin. At last we will drain the swamp and the destiny of America will be taken back where it first began and where it always truly belonged - with the we the people."
