@jezra first tool is, painters tape!
I have various tools for fret beveling (above). But you can get away with the small, inexpensive, file on the fret board. It's just a little square safety edge file. I forget where I got it. I could look it up.
Oh, and the micro sand paper (below) brings things to a mirror polish!
